I got a really ugly haircut, almost below my shoulders. I feel so ashamed and ugly. Please help me give advice :( xoxo
Do you mean above your shoulders? Either way, I’m sorry you think your haircut’s bad. But honestly, every time you try a new style, if you can wear it with confidence, everyone will think it’s cool. It’s a proven fact of high school. How else can people get away with wearing such ridiculous clothes, or crazy hair? It’s all about confidence. Nobody will know you don’t like it if you can wear it with a smile on your face. With that being said, do whatever it takes to make your hair a little better. Go out and buy some awesome headbands, or maybe put a streak of red in or dye the tips like you’ve been dying to do (pun intended). Spoil yourself, you deserve to…and then, you can wear your new hair with confidence. And trust me, it’ll grow out faster than you think. Especially with the oncoming warm weather, it’ll be long again by summer break. Make sure to keep your hair clean and healthy, and wash it constantly. Also, this might not seem to make any sense because you got it cut too short, but trim your hair regularly, it doesn’t have to be much, but keeping away split ends will also help it grow faster.
Body language and confidence is what really matters when it comes to personal style. If you can use that, or fake it, nobody will think twice about your haircut. And trust me on this, it never looks as bad as you think it does. We’re all much too hard on ourselves as teens….
